Clonewar Village available for downloadAs announced on the previous post Clonewar Village is now ready to download. Once again I want to stress Vicpas did a great job adding gameplay to this old bit. At least for me it is quite hard to beat it, but I am sure anyone still playing RtCW is looking exactly for a challenge like that. I added the download to the map page: Clonewar Village page. Spacescene and Ashwood-addition, supplementOk, I missed to do the news for the latest updates, so here it is. Finally I built that spaceship everyone just has to do it sometimes. Has been fun though, and I am quite happy with the design. The gallery is here: The inevitable spacefighter. Next we have a loose addition to the Prophecy/Ashwood topic, a small foggy camp, viking style. It`s been quick work with a focus on the barracks, the environment is basicly just there to have something to render. Gallery: Near Ashwood Forest. To end with, here`s my personal surprise of the week: A mapper named Vicpas mailed me to report he had done a playable version of my 100 years old, never finished RtCW map Clonewars-Village. I could hardly remember I had passed it on years ago, but it`s certainly a very welcome surprise. He already gave me a near final build, and I may say he did a great job there. I`ll upload it as I get the finished version, so those who still love RtcW should check back soon. Thursday, January 04, 2008
Fake updateFake update? Yep, right. I felt it was time to give this site the occasional update, but since H-Craft and a yet unannounced project kept me busy, there is actually nothing really new. Fortunately browsing my archives I stumbled over some renderings done sometimes 2006. I didn`t post them in the first place because they have their weaknesses, but with a one year gap I don`t mind those little probs that much anymore. So, this is London: London Renderings. The Galleries for H-Craft Championship also got updated with more recent shots. Friday, November 09, 2007
The yearly update...So, what happened the last year? Well, most important, i founded a small gamecompany together with a mate and former Sixteen Tons employee. We`ve been working on our first game for quite a while now. It`s named H-Craft Championship, shaped up to be a really nice scifi racer, and should be released Q1 2007 as a budgetgame. Have a look at the first public screenshots at the gallery. Your also welcome to visit our company`s site www.irrgheist.com We will have a Demoversion of the game up pretty soon. Furthermore i keep learning Maya, and lately decided to care about characterdesign and animation. The first result is a cute little turtle. There are a few renderings and a small movie up at screenshots&downloads talk again in a year (?) ... Tuesday, January 17, 2006

Site moved / updated screenshots / looking for a new jobOk, only one and a half year since the last update... Therefore there are now a few things to report, as well as a load of new galleries to be found in the screenshots&downloads section. Lets catch up where we stopped last time. Of course Gotcha! meanwhile got released for PC and Xbox, development took a bit longer than expected, and by that it shipped sometimes in winter 2004. After we had it finished i kept working for Sixteen Tons for quite a while, but april 05 i finally decided to quit. First i used the break for some cooldown, cause the job, -besides its undeniable greatness-, really tends to burn you out. Anyway, next i thought it was time to advance, and started teaching myself some Maya. Leveleditors can be a joy to work with, but i doubt its enough for current, respectively future, industry requirements. It was also nice to have time to develop some gameconcepts, whatever it is good for. Well, you never know, and i cant sleep having ideas spinning around in my head anyway. Now its december 05, and i feel ready to look for a new job. I ll start sending out applications this month, so if you happen to be scouting feel free to drop me a mail. My old site at planetquake will no longer be updated, so if you want to keep track please refer to this one from now on. I noticed most download links for quake3 maps are outdated. Possibly i ll upload the files to the new server sometimes, though i m not sure if it d make any sense. Thats it for now, hope you like the new screenshots! Thursday, March 18, 2004

still alive whoops, my last post here is dated at march, 25th, now thats a time ago. sorry to those who kept visiting looking for new stuff and didnt find any. guess the reasons are more or less obvious, the job keeps me freaking busy. did i say it d be a hard task 5 month ago? hehe, i ve been very right with that, but its also just great. first little infos about the current project got released, just 2 mini-screenshots and a short text; i hope to be able to give you some more info soon. you can have a first look here: 16tons what about rtcw:cw_vill? um, i m ashame to say that i didnt get to move a brush, reasons see above. anyway, its neither canceled nor forgotten, just havin a biiiiiig delay. OMG! oki, some big private news here: i ll start working as leveldesigner for a company next week. actually i ve yet been there the last week to check the tools and to get checked as well. the company is located in germany, so i ll have to move there. i m not the sort of guy who loves big changes, in a way i had to trap myself there. i ve applicated with the thought "hey, noone will responde anyway". i went to the interview with the thought "just lets see what they do, they wont pick u anyway". well, and then it happened they offered the job. thats obviously a great chance i cant miss it. i d wish i could tell more about it but thats not allowed. just let me say i m very excited and also a bit scared...will be hard task. unfortunately, and, -stupid as it is-, its indeed worrying me, this also means i ll have nearly no time for quake and wolfer mapping now. this mainly relates to rtcw:cw_vill, which cant be expected to get finished sometime soon now. anyway, time will tell, and i ll keep posting news on that. Relaunch so...here we are again. the old site under dteam got closed (thx to dolo for hosting it the last year), and i used the move for a rebuild. those who ve known the previous version will notice this one looks a bit more simple. the reason is that this time i ve build it myself, what has the advantage that it will be easier to update it in the future. and by the way it should load a bit faster. anyway, i hope you like it. news: Clonewar2044 for RtcW got released shortly before the old site went down. its now added to the "screenshots&downloads"-section. Currently i m working on its prequel "cw_vill", there are 3 screenshots up as well. I ve also added 2 shots of my helpless first tries with maya to the artwork gallery. meanwhile "wotan" and "clonewar" showed up on some sites. if you want you can have a look at the reviews: wotan@ten four clonewar2044@ten four wotan@rtcwfiles clonewar2044@rtcwfiles |
